Automotive technology continues to advance. We recently learned there might not be a V6 Mustang anymore. Now we have learned you can buy an electric Mustang with some pretty high-tech features. Yes. If you love the styling of the latest Mustang, but you might enjoy a smaller version, there is something to put on your holiday shopping list for the kiddos—a Power Wheels Smart Drive Mustang.
For the Smart Drive Mustang, we wanted to amp up the realistic driving experience
Designed to accurately replicate the look of the latest Mustang GT using Ford design data, the Smart Drive Mustang is also built to simulate its driving experience with the first computer-controlled powertrain delivered in a Power Wheels vehicle.

The new Power Wheels Smart Drive Mustang is fitted with a computer-controlled powertrain that delivers many of the same features as its full-size cousin, including traction control.
This high-tech drivetrain incorporates familiar technology like traction control, stability monitoring, digital speed control and even stop/start. The onboard computer adjusts motor speeds to compensate for wheel slip, turn off the motors to prevent rollovers and ramps up motor speeds for faster start or shorter stopping distances. The digital speed control even acts like a junior version of Ford’s own MyKey, allowing parents to slow down the fun from 5 to 1 mph.
Kids lucky enough to drive one will even be treated to engine sounds recorded from a full-size Mustang, but there is also an aux-in jack so they can pump up their own jams.
Available next month at retailers, the Smart Drive Mustang will set you back $359.99, which has to make it the most affordable new Mustang that someone can drive.
The Power Wheels Smart Drive Mustang is currently on display at the Los Angeles International Auto Show, and it will hit retail stores next month for $359.99.
