Vehicle wraps are hot, and they’re popping up on EVs everywhere. Example: Alejandro Salomon’s incredible Tesla Cybertruck wrap. It’s a stunning, detailed wrap that pays homage to the legendary P-51 Mustang aircraft.
Custom One-Off Cybertruck Wrap
Salomon brought his Tesla Cyberbeast pickup to the team at Unplugged Performance for a full UP INVINCIBLE build. UP INVINCIBLE is the company’s product line of upgrades for the Tesla Cybertruck. It contains an array of products, including everything from a lift kit to heavy-duty bumpers to forged beadlock wheels. Salomon also brought a “new cool wrap idea.” He gave the team at Unplugged Performance the general concept and told the team to go nuts. The company turned to its designers at Bulletproof Auto Spa. The designers crafted a custom 1-of-1 wrap for Salomon’s stainless-steel Cybertruck. They designed their product, claiming it draws inspiration from the iconic P-51 Mustang fighter-bomber. The wrap features a distinct patina and a version of the “shark mouth” emblem used on some WWII aircraft.
The wrap contains P-51 Mustang fighter-bomber-inspired design elements. Additionally, the wrap features a distinct patina reminiscent of real-life wear and tear on historic aircraft.
It Took Two Weeks To Design The Wrap
The design process spanned a full two weeks, during which every detail was meticulously hand-drawn to accommodate the Cybertruck’s unique geometry. The design of the wrap adapts to enhance the sharp angles and distinctive frame of the Cybertruck. Designers carefully aligned rivet lines with the body panels and creases of the truck, while strategically applying simulated mud behind the wheel wells. The design incorporated rust and patina elements, reminiscent of real-life wear and tear on historic airplanes. Notably, the company rendered grab handles with such realism that they evoke an instinctive urge to reach out and grab them. Additionally, an Easter egg was integrated into the design: simulated venting was added to the rear end of the quarter panels on both sides. Within these vents, mechanical elements were depicted, including a perfectly scaled representation of the air suspension pressure release valve located behind the Cybertruck’s right rear fender flare.
Wrapped In One Day
After finalizing the design process, Unplugged Performance offered Salomon a brief preview of the design renders. Subsequently, on a Monday in late April, the company wrapped the Cybertruck. Following this, the company completed a photoshoot at the Hawthorne, California, airport, where the Cybertruck blended in with its aircraft surroundings.
“My Wife Is Going To Be So Annoyed”
As the moment arrived to unveil the completed wrap, Salomon entered, visibly astonished. Unplugged Performance surprised him with the 20-inch UP-03 beadlock wheels he had ordered. The wheels were mounted in “beadlock mode,” wearing BFGoodrich’s new KO3 all-terrain tires. The wheels satin titanium finish perfectly complement the utilitarian aesthetics of the Cyberbeast’s new appearance. Among Salomon’s reactions, the company’s favorite was, “My wife is going to be so annoyed!”

Positive Response From Elon Musk
Two days later, Unplugged Performance unveiled the wrap to the world, which generated millions of impressions. The company notes that it even elicited a positive response from Elon Musk on X.
We think Unplugged Performance did a great job with the wrap. It visually complements the Cyberbeast’s 845 hp and 10,296 lb-ft of torque and the truck’s blistering 2.6-second 0-60 mph performance.
